Calendar for the School Year 2017-2018

·   Back to school: 9am Thursday 31^st August 2017 (full day for all pupils. New junior infants 9am-12pm for first 7 school days).

·   October midterm break term 1: school closed Monday 30^th October to Friday 3^rd November inclusive. Reopens Monday 6^th November.

·   Christmas holidays: School closes at 12pm on Friday 22^nd December 2017 which will be last day of term 1. School reopens for term 2 on Monday 8^th January 2018. Full school day for all.

·    February midterm break term 2: school closed Thursday 15^th and Friday 16^th February 2018. Reopens Monday 19^th February 2018.

·    St. Patrick’s Day Public Holiday: School closed Monday 19^th March 2018.

·    Easter holidays: school closes at 12pm on Friday 23^rd March 2018 for last day of term 2. School reopens for term 3 on Monday 9^th April 2018. Full school day for all.

·    May midterm break term 3: School closed Monday 7^th May – Friday 11^th May inclusive. School reopens on Monday 14^th May for all pupils. Full school day for all.

·   June closure: School closed Monday 4^th June 2018.

·   Last day of the school year: School closes at 12pm for all pupils on Friday 29^th June. This will be the last day of term 3.

* Junior & Senior Infant Day: 9am – 1.40pm. 1^st – 6^th Class Day: 9am – 2.40pm

* Dates for Sacraments of First Penance, Holy Communion and Confirmation, once provided to the school by St.Canice’s Parish, will be provided to parents promptly.

* To facilitate staff training and planning, the school will close early to pupils on one shortened day each term – ie. 3 additional shortened days not listed above, over the full school year. The dates for these shortened days will be communicated to parents as early as possible each term – with a minimum of 1 month’s advance notification provided.
