KNS Term 2 Extra Curricular Activities

                       17th February 2017
Dear Parents & Guardians,
We are pleased to now provide you with the Great KNS Extra Curricular Activities Programme for term 2. Extra-curricular activities are available to pupils from 1st to 6th class – and are facilitated voluntarily by KNS staff.  The school asks for just €1 per week per child to cover basic expenses – to be paid in advance of starting.
At this stage, please chat to your child and see what if any activity interests them and then complete and return the form below with the small fee by 9am on Monday 20th February. Note that if places are limited but oversubscribed, they will be allocated on a 1st come 1st served basis or by drawing names from a hat. Places will be confirmed to pupils and parents (by text) on Monday 20th February.
Activities generally run from 2.40pm – 3.30pm in Kilcoskan NS unless otherwise informed by the facilitators.  Pupils must be collected promptly after activities and of course must be on their best behaviour throughout.  The KNS Extra Curricular Activities Policy is available to view at the school.  Please see the reverse of this letter for more information on hurling and football.
Best wishes,
Mr.Ciarán Caulfield, Priomhoide

--------------To be returned to KNS by 9am Monday 13th February 2017---------------

Note: After school football and hurling training will have approximately 10 after school sessions and so the school asks for €10 per child.  It is open to all pupils from 3rd - 6th class. Some training sessions may take place in St.Margaret’s GAA Club grounds. For these sessions parents will need to arrange their child’s transport to and from the club. There will be a competitive league element to football and hurling also. Some competitive league matches may be held during normal school time. Again, parents may be required to provide transport for league matches or to contribute towards the cost of buses.
