April 2016
Dear Parents
of 6th Class Pupils,
This is a
short note to clarify arrangements for the upcoming Sacrament of Confirmation scheduled
for Tuesday 10th May at 11am in St.Margaret’s Church. The ceremony
will be performed by Monsignor John Fitzpatrick and Fr.Michael Shields.
As
previously communicated, rehearsals will again be held in the church on Monday 9th
May at 11am so pupils will need to be
collected from 10.45am and returned to school from 11.45am.
All children
must wear Confirmation robes, which will be available in the St.Margaret’s Hall
(not church) before the ceremony from 10am – 10.30am only. A charge of €10 for
these applies, which can be paid into school on Monday 9th May.
All children
should be in their seats for the ceremony from 10.50am. A pew (long church
seat) has been allocated to each family.
Photographer
Des will be taking photographs after the ceremony in the small church garden
opposite the main church entrance.
Light
refreshments will be available for all in the church hall after the ceremony.
Wednesday 10th
May will be a normal school day and pupils may wear their Confirmation clothes
into school on this day if they wish.
If you require
any further information do please contact the school on Monday 9th
May and we will be happy to help.
Finally,
best wishes to all our 6th class pupils as they prepare for this very
special occasion in their lives.
Kind
regards,
Mr.Ciarán Caulfield,
Principal
