Board of Management Election for Fathers Representative Role

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Congratulations to Ms.Lorna Moore who was the sole nominee to the Mothers’ Representative role on the Kilcoskan NS Board of Management for the new term. Ms.Moore is therefore duly elected. Two candidates were nominated for the Fathers’ Representative role and therefore there will now commence an election for this position.

Mr.Laurence Skelly and Mr.Andy McCarthy have provided short biographies for all parents, in support of their candidature, which are available at the school reception. All parents are now invited to vote for one of these 2 candidates, by completing and returning the voting slips below. 2 such slips are attached to facilitate mothers and fathers who wish to vote to do so. Note however that each parent may only vote once.  Voting slips may also be collected from the school reception. This letter will also be displayed on the school’s website to inform all eligible voters of this election.

As a parent of a child / children in Kilcoskan NS you now have until 2.40pm on Friday December 18^th 2015 to vote and return your ballot paper to the school. A ballot box for this purpose will be in reception up to 2.40pm on this date.

On Monday 21^st December at 2.40pm the Returning Officer will count the votes for each candidate in the school’s staff room. Parents are welcome to attend this count. As per Department of Education procedures, the first past the post system will be used to determine the vote and in the event of a tie the election will be determined by the drawing of lots.
