For the last 2 weeks, the boys and girls in Kilcoskan NS have been learning all about the importance of road safety. We've learned the safe cross code, the meaning of different roadsigns, had a visit from our community Garda and lots more. For example, to show clearly how tall you must be to sit in the front seat, our woodwork class have made a super safety pencil which you'll see at the entrance to our school.
Then, on Thursday 15th March the Road Safety Authority's "Streetsmart Village" came to visit our school. The boys and girls got to navigate their way around the village in different roles and as different vehicles, learning about the importance of always staying "street-smart"!
